1) 케이트는 차 문을 열고 차에 타았다.
Kate opened the door of the car and got in.
(=into the car)
2) 나는 가게 밖에서 기다렸다.
안으로 들어가지 않았다.
I waited outside the store.
I didn't go in.
3) 나는 창가로 가서 밖을 내다보았다.
I went to the window and looked out.
4) 차가 멈추자 한 여자가 내렸다.
A car stopped, and a woman got out.
( = out of the car)
5) 버스가 왔고, 나는 탔다.
The bus came, and I got on.
6) 조심해! 떨어지지 마.
Be careful! Don't fall off.
7) 그녀는 일어나 방을 나갔다.
She stood up and left the room.
8) 저는 보통 일찍 일어납니다.
I usually get up early.

9) 우리는 하늘의 별들을 올려다보았다.
We looked up at the stars in the sky.
10) 그 그림이 떨어졌어요.
The picture fell down.

Would you like to sit down?

Lie down on the floor.
13) 도둑이 도망쳤다.
The thief ran away.

14) 엠마는 차에 올라타서 차를 몰고 떠났다.
Emma got into the car and drove away.

15) 톰은 며칠 동안 떠났습니다.
Tom has gone away for a few days.
16) 저리가, 다시 돌아오지 마!
Go away and don't come back!
17) 우리는 저녁을 먹으러 나갔다가 호텔로 돌아갔습니다.
We went out for dinner
and then went back to our hotel.
18) 톰은 자리를 비웠습니다.
그는 월요일에 돌아올 것입니다.
Tom is away.
He'll be back on Monday.
19) 어떤 차를 원하는지 잘 모르겠어요.
먼저 둘러보고 싶어요.
I'm not sure what kind of car I want.
I want to look around first.
20) 누군가 내 이름을 부르길래 나는 돌아보았다.
Somebody shouted my name,
so I turned around.
21) 우리는 긴 산책을 했습니다.
한 시간 후에 우리는 돌아서서 집으로 돌아갔습니다.
We went for a long walk.
After an hour we turned around and went back.
